In a city that feels like a constant high-decibel roar, we built a high-altitude sanctuary designed to swallow the skyline. This isn’t just a balcony; it’s a living, breathing canopy that filters the chaos into a lush, botanical disconnect. We wanted it to be an immersive escape where the air actually feels different the moment you step outside. submit arrow

The energy of the space is anchored by the architectural lines of Champa (Frangipani) and the dense, fragrant texture of Kamini. These aren't just plants; they are a natural green screen that keeps the city at bay. At the ground level, we layered in a sea of Bird’s Nest Ferns—their prehistoric, broad-leaf depth adds that heavy, immersive green we love.

The real soul of the space came from a "treasure hunt" at Gaia, South Mumbai’s iconic ceramic haunt. We spent time deep-diving through their collection to find vessels that had the right artisanal weight. These hand-picked pieces now act as the stage for the project’s heartbeat: a graceful Bronze Dancer sculpture. Tucked into the foliage, she acts as a silent focal point, turning the terrace into a curated gallery.

The layout is a rhythmic play of heights. We used the sourced textures to ground the monumental trees, ensuring the "lush" look stays sophisticated and light. Every leaf is positioned to catch the coastal breeze, turning the space into a sanctuary of unapologetic calm. It’s a curated jungle that doesn't just sit there—it breathes with the home.

Common question

TOP: Champa Kamini

Yellow leaves are either an indication that you need to cut down your watering and make sure the pot is draining properly or that it's getting too much sun. Poke your finger into the soil to check its moisture level and make sure the water drains well. If this doesn't fix the problem, try moving it to a slightly shadier spot in the room.
